You may recall the gaping, jagged hole we had in our wall where the fireplace rock wall used to be. We have since evened it up by trimming away the remaining drywall, and the other half built a box frame that we'll be enclosing in drywall (as he did on the bottom part already) so we can apply our slate tiles. Not much else has gone on recently, unfortunately, as we've both been working and traveling a lot. Although we did finish laying the hardwood floors in both guest rooms and office.
